Early SA Dagger by Bismarck - August Muller of Solingen. A super piece by a rare maker! The bright blade on this one looks excellent! The factory crossgrain shines wonderfully in the light as it runs the full length of the blade, ending at a perfectly pointed tip! The dark and crisp acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and "Bismarck Solingen" maker mark are beautifully executed! The blade also has a solid fit to the hilt, with no gaps or wiggle. The blade rates an easy Exc++! There is some minor spotting throughout. The anodized scabbard has a beautiful brown finish with no oxidization and remaining completely dent free! The solid nickel scabbard fittings have some pressure marks throughout. They remain tightly secured to the scabbard and retain all four screws. The ball has a wee pressure mark, yet retains its original round shape. The crossguards remain in excellent condition! The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked "Wm" (Westmark). The scabbard / crossguard fit is near perfect and closes it with a snap! The brown hardwood grip looks great! It shows the common pressure marks throughout. No cracks, flakes or splits! The grip / crossguard fits are absolutely perfect! The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful details and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel also has a perfect fit and retains 100% of its enamel! A super piece that will be a prized on in your collection!
