Early Melzer & Feller SA Dagger

A decent piece! The bright blade on this one looks good! It has been cleaned. The acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and rare ?Melzer & Feller Zella - Mehlis? maker mark are beautifully executed! The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a sharp point. The blade rates an Exc, mostly due to the motto and maker. The tip is 7mm short and it has been heavily cleaned. The brown anodized scabbard body has a nice finish to it. It has two wee pressure marks. The solid nickel, scabbard fittings look good. The ball has a hit to the bottom. All four screws remain intact. The crossguards look good as well. The reverse of the lower crossguard is lightly marked ?Fr" (Franken), a rare Gau Stamp to find. The hardwood grip looks great! It retains most of its original factory lacquer! Hard to find that any more. No chips, cracks or flaking. The grip / crossguard fits are near perfect! The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel also has a perfect fit and retains 100% of its enamel! Oh yah, this one comes with a well-worn, well-working hanger at no extra cost to you.
