Here's a nice aluminum based, two piece army dress belt buckle. The obverse depicts an embossed closed winged eagle griping a swastika in its talons. The eagle is above a half oak leaf and acorn wreath and underneath: "GOTT MIT UNS" (God with us). The wreath and motto are in front of a decorative line type pattern and encircled by two twisted ropes. This all lies on a pebbled field. The steel prongs and catch remain in excellent condition! The buckle is unmarked and shows minor period wear. The details to the wreath, motto and eagle are all beautiful! A great dress buckle available for your collection!
