Here's a piece you don't see every day. "I'm not too sure what exactly this is but if you know please tell me phogle@personainternet.com. The hilt is completely brass. The pommel is a birds head with the tang peened over securing the blade to the hilt. There are several animals, guns and leaves throughout the hilt. The blade measures 13 1/2 inches. It has heavy age grey throughout. I am guessing that it most likely it had a leather scabbard at some point. The ricasso shows decorative slanted lines throughout.
