Here's a nice one by a rare maker that's never been in a collection rating a 9 out of 10 on Mcsarr's SA rarity rating! The blade on this one rates Exc++. The crossgrain is beautiful against the light, the acid etched motto and maker mark are nice and dark, and the fit and tip are perfect! There is just a bit of age towards the edge under the motto. The brown anodized scabbard looks great! The scabbard body has a great finish with only light wear and remains dent free! The solid nickel scabbard fittings has nicely toned with age. There is one small bruse to the bottom of the ball. All of the screws remain intact and unturned! The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect. The solid nickel crossguards have also toned with age matching the scabbard fittings. They are lightly worn. The reverse of the lower crossguard is stamped "Ho" off to the right (exactly where it should be!!). The grip crossguard fits are perfect! The brown hardwood grip retains tons of lacquer! You hardly see them like this anymore. The grip is lightly worn but has no cracks, chips or splits! The solid nickel eagle is nicely detailed and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel also has a perfect fit and retains 99% of its enamel! This is a distinctive maker purchased from the Vet's family by me.
