Transitional Anton Wingen, Jr. HJ Dagger 1938
A decent well-worn piece here. The blade on this one rates Exc. It has heavy spotting wear and has been sharpened. The Knight and RZM M7/51/38 marker mark are nice and dark. The original leather buffer pad remains intact. The scabbard is in decent shape and retains the majority of its black enamel paint. The leather remains in excellent condition although once piece has been broken off by the snap. Some of the plating on the hilt has been lost to time and reveals its steel base. The black, checkered, celluloid grip plates remain in good condition, with no cracks or chips! The grip plates have shrunk with time and one rivet is a bit loose. The HJ diamond is perfect!
