Japan, WWII – Imperial Japanese Army Sergeant Major Tunic. It is constructed out of an olive drab brushed tri-cot wool. It features five brown bakelite buttons to the front, with two breast pockets that have brown steel buttons and scalloped flaps and two hip pockets with plan flaps. There is a strap and button underneath the left arm. The collar features two red (Infantry) machine made three-star Sergeant Major collar tabs. The exterior shows signs of mothing, thread catches and two repaired holes. The interior features a plain weave white cotton. The interior left breast pocket is marked. Shoulder to shoulder is 16 inches. Spine to collar is 25 1/2 inches. Sleeve is 21 inches long.
