Wehrmacht-Heeres Schirmmütze für Offiziere der Beamten. It is constructed out of quality field grey doe skin wool, with a dark green center band and dark green piping. Attached to the obverse is a die stamped, aluminum based, silver washed second pattern army cap eagle and multi piece tri-color cockade (red wool, silvered aluminum and black painted aluminum) and silvered aluminum oak leaf and acorn wreath. To the sides are two peened-on multi piece silvered pebbled aluminum/steel side buttons that hold the interwoven silver aluminum chin cord in place. The front also features a black lacquered visor peak with a cross hatched cream underside. The interior features a tan brown sweatband with a torn silk bowtie to the reverse. 70% of the stitching remains intact. The base has 90% of a clear diamond moisture shield that is stitched to the green satin tricot cloth interior. The moisture shield has a silvered “Deutsches Industrie”. There are some moth nips to the very back and to the crown waffenfarbe. Overall it looks very nice.
