Poland - Force Instructor Parachute Wing
Republic of Poland, c.1947-52 – Air Force Instructor Parachute Wing. It is constructed out of a die-stamped nickel base that has been silver aged, gold gilded and contains white and light/dark blue enamel work. The obverse features a white parachute on a flying eagle grasping a laurel crown in its bill. The fullback reverse features a soldered-on male screw back and a separate plastic female round screw back nut which is maker marked: “Mennica Państwowa”. It measures 1 1/8 inches wide by 2 7/16 inches tall.
