SA-Feldjägerkorps Cap Badge by RZM 24

SA-Feldjägerkorps Mützenabzeichen by RZM 24 - Overhoff & Cie. of Lüdenscheid - c.1933-1935. On October 1933, Hermann Göring established a supplementary police group for use within the State of Prussia. It consisted of former polizei members and volunteers recruited from existing Sturmabteilung (SA) and Schutzstaffel (SS) units. Members of the SA-Feldjägerkorps were allowed to rejoin or transfer into the SS following completion of their service with the unit. On April 1, 1935, the SA-Feldjägerkorps was incorporated into the larger Prussian “Schutzpolizei”.

It is constructed out of a die stamped tombak base that has been gold gilded and black painted. The obverse features a Prussian eagle with a swastika on its chest, on a textured hexagon shaped background, bordered in rays emanating out of it. The hollow back reverse is maker marked: “RZM 24” and features soldered-on flatwire prongs. It measures 1 5/16 inches wide by 1 7/16 inches tall. Being sold individually, it is my choice which one you get. Came in a recent lot of new old stock.
