KS 98 Bayonet
German KS 98 Bayonet - c. late-Weimar/early-Third Reich. Presumably used by the Police. The fullered, spear point, plated blade is 198mm long. It has minor age spotting throughout along with some heavy scratches towards the dulled tip. The blade rates Exc+. The brown felt buffer pad remains intact. The scabbard is made out of a blacked tanned leather that has dual pressed lines to either side and is stitched together at the back. It has been re-blackened. Both steel based, nickel-silver plated scabbard fittings are secured with a reverse staple each. The ball remains perfectly round. The steel based, nickel-silver plated hilt looks good. It retains 99%+ plating coverage. The black checkered bakelite grip plates are in perfect condition and tightly secured with solid nickel-silver rivets. The push button continues to work well.
