Wunsiedel Felsenwunder Luisenburg FestSpiele Abzeichen c.1937. The Luisenburg Festival is a theatre festival in the oldest open-air theatre in Germany. It is constructed out of a die stamped steel base that has been silver washed, chemically burnished and features white and blue enamel work. The obverse features a man blowing a trumpet, with a banner on it, on a mountain side with evergreen trees in the background, flanked by: “Wunsiedel” (left), “Felsenwunder” (right), below alternating white and blue rhomboid diamonds, and above: “Luisenburg FestSpiele”. The hollow back reverse features a horizontally soldered-on well working tombak pin assembly. It measures 1 3/16 inches wide by 1 9/16 inches tall. A rare piece of a significant event.
