Late-War Printed Army EM/NCO Breast Eagle
Rare, Late-War - Wehrmacht-Heer Brustadler. Introduced late-1944/early-1945, the printed breast eagle variation was created in an attempt to conserve manufacturing time and effort. It is constructed out of a thick twill weave field grey cotton base with a machine roller printed eagle with dark blue/green, olive with faint yellow accent colors. The obverse features a printed Army eagle with outstreacehd wings clutching a wreathed mobile swastika on a field grey backing. The reverse shows the print seaping through. The bottom edges are slightly cut on an angle. It measures 4 ½ inches wide by 2 3/8 inches tall. Printed breast eagles were only issued in limited quantities. Rare…
