RARE - Issue Packet - Iron Cross 2nd Class Ribbon

Very Rare - Band des Eisernen Kreuzes 2. Klass 1939 in Verleihunhstüte by Carl Koblauch Seidenbandfabrik Berlin. It is constructed out of a blue pressed paper base that has been folded and glued together. The blue rectangular shaped obverse reads in black printed Gothic style script: “Band des Eisernen Kreuzes 2. Klasse 1939”. The reverse flap reads, in black printed Gothic style script: “Carl Knoblauch Seidenbandfabrik Berlin C2, Poststr. 23” (within a rectangular border). To the base in reads, in black printed serif script: “Ernst C. Behrens. Alfreld (Leine)”. The packet measures 3 inches wide by 4 5/8 inches tall. Housed in the issue case is the 11 ¼ inch long red, white and black rayon ribbon, which has a small thread catch. Rare.
