Waffen-SS Kragenpatte. Introduced c.June 1944, for wear by the Army and Luftwaffe personnel who were transferred to SS units to serve as temporary concentration camp guards. For wear on the right hand side. It is constructed out of a lacquered tan buckram base that is covered in a black wool construction with machine embroidered, double armed swastika in silvery/grey rayon threads. It measures 2 1/8 inches wide by 2 inches tall. A very fine example.
