Romania, WWII - Six-Piece Ribbon Bar
Kingdom of Romania, WWII – Six-Piece Medal Bar. Assembled mid-1942 to a brave combatant member of the Axis Romanian military who assisted with the annexation of Sudetenland, fought in the eastern front and in the Crusade Against Communism. From left to right are ribbons for:
- Iron Cross 2nd Class 1939 (Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse, instituted September 1, 1939)
- 2nd Class War Merit Cross with Swords (Kriegs-verdienstkreuz 2. Klasse mit Schwertern, instituted October 18, 1939)
- Eastern Front Medal (Medaille Winterschlacht im Osten 1941/42, instituted May 6, 1942)
- Sudetenland Commemorative Medal (Die Medaille zur Erinnerung an den 1. Oktober 1938, instituted October 1, 1938)
- Romania - Medal for Manhood and Faith - Model 1916 (Medalia Bărbăție și Credință cu însemne de război II. Class, introduced November 3, 1903)
- Romania - Crusade Against Communism Commemorative Medal (Medaille zur Erinnerung an den Kreuzzug gegen den Kommunismus, introduced April 1, 1942)
The rayon ribbons are crimped to a convex plated sheet metal base with tabs that are folded to another steel metal base that has the appropriate pin, hinge and catch assembly. It measures 3 5/8 inches wide.
