SS Visor Cap Eagle by RZM 394-35
SS-Schirmmütze Adler by RZM 394-35. Introduced February 1936, as the second pattern SS visor cap eagle. It is constructed out of a die stamped cupal base that has been silver washed and lacquered. The obverse features a left facing SS eagle with outstretched wings clutching a wreathed mobile swastika in its talons. The hollow back reverse is maker marked: “RZM 394-35” and features two soldered-on tombak flat wire prongs. It measures 2 3/4 inches wide by 1 1/4 inches tall. Purchased from the neighbor who was helping a veterans wife move.
