German WWII > Accoutrements > Hangers >
Early M33 SS Dolchgehänge. This earliest “Snout Nose” variation is most appropriate for a c.1933-35 era SS Dagger. The hanger is constructed out of a two-piece (main and slide) black tanned leather with a black enamel painted steel rivet, a nickel-silver buckle, prong and clip. The well working clip is unmarked and exactly how these early ones are. The correct spring is steel and secured with a dome head rivet. The leather is in wonderful condition, only minor cracking to the one stress point. It measures 4 inches long. The NSKK were only required to have a black hanger come May 19, 1936, where the snout-nose would have been discontinued. A wonderful example.
