Luftschutz Breast/Sleeve Insignia
RLB Brust-Emblem für und Unterführer. Worn by the Reichsluftschutzbund (Air Defence League), Sicherheits und Hilfs Dienst, (Security and Assistance Service) and the Luftschutzwarndienst (Air Raid Warning Service) on the sleeve or breast. It is constructed out of a BeVo machine embroidered cotton thread to a rayon backing. The rectangular shaped obverse features, in grey; a bannered “Luftschutz” in front of an oak leaf wreath that is open to the top and has a swastika to the bottom, flanked by two wings, which all lies on a dark blue background and a grey base. The edges are slightly shortened. It measures 3 ¾ inches wide.
