K98 Ammo Pouch by R. Adam 1942

Germany, WWII - Karabiner 98 Ammo Pouch by Reinhold Adam Sattlerwaren-Fabrik of Oberursel (Taunus) in Hesse. It is constructed out of a multi-piece black tanned pigskin leather that has been stitched and riveted together. It has three pockets, each with lid and strap. The interior features all three raw hide dividers. The rivets, prongs and d-ring are all steel based and slightly oxidized. The reverse is maker marked: “Reinhold Adam Oberursel Taumus 1942”. Typical age wear and scuffs. It measures 8 1/2 inches wide by 4 inches tall by 1 3/4 inches thick.
