Early HitlerJunge Kampfbinde. Introduced in 1933, this pattern armband was worn on the upper left sleeve of most all Hitler Youth uniforms as the identifying organizational insignia. It is constructed out of a multi-piece machine embroidered cotton base that has been stitched together. The obverse features a centrally placed machine embroidered HJ emblem, which consists of a white diamond and a black mobile swastika, which is in front of a machine embroidered white horizontal line and all lies on a red cotton backing. The top and bottom have chain link stitching. The back has been stitched together to size. One nip. It has some threads where it would have been stitched to a uniform. It measures 6 1/4 inches wide by 3 3/16 inches tall. I believe this is the earliest standard Hitler Youth Armband variation.
