Tagged - NSDAP Armband
Tagged - NSDAP Kampfbinde. The official pattern armband was worn on the upper left sleeve of most all NSDAP uniforms as the identifying organizational insignia. It is constructed out of a red wool base with a stitched-on three-piece ribbed rayon roundel. The obverse features a two-piece black mobile swastika, stitched to a white roundel that is stitched to a red wool base. The top and bottom have been folded over and stitched together. The reverse has been left open. To the inside behind the roundel is an RZM issue tag blue printed rectangular paper tag, with a personalization on it which reads: “J. Bivens”. It shows areas of thinning to the wool. It measures 7 inches wide by 4 1/8 inches tall. We see similar construction armband with SS/RZM tags for SS overcoats.
