A Model 1933 Sturmabteilung Dienstdolch by RZM M7/68 – Tiger of Solingen. The blade on this one looks ok. The acid etched “Alles für Deutschland” motto and knight “RZM M7/68” maker mark both look good. The crossgrain is prominent running the full length and is easily visible as you shine it in the light. The fit is nice and tight and the tip comes to a sharp point. The blade rates a Exc. It has been sharpened leaving obvious scratches, there is also heavy spotting throughout. The sheet metal based brown painted scabbard is in excellent condition. It remains completely dent free and retains 97%+ of its original painted finish. The steel-based nickel-silver plated scabbard fittings are in excellent shape. The ball has a wee bruise to the obverse edge yet retains a nice round profile. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect. The crossguards are zinc based and nickel-silver plated. They are rough. The dark hardwood grip looks good. There is a repair to the one bottom side and a crack above the roundel. The aluminum eagle is nicely detailed and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel is oxidized yet has a perfect fit and retains 99%+ of its enamel. A desirable maker, a good price!
