NSDMB Navy Veteran Visor Cap Eagle
National Sozialistische Deutscher Marine Bund Mützen Adler. The National Sozialistische Deutscher Marine Bund (NSDMB) was adopted in 1935, from the earlier “Bund Deutscher Marine Vereine”. In 1938, it was attached to the NS-RKB, “Nationalsozialistische-Reichskriegerbund”. In 1943, the NSDMB came under the control of the Navy. It is constructed out of a two piece die stamped tombak base that has been gold gilded, with a separately soldered on Iron cross that is constructed out of a die struck nickel silver base that has been silver washed and contains black enamel work. The obverse depicts a gold Veteran eagle, clutching a wreathed swastika within its talons in front of two crossed broad swords, an anchor and an Iron cross on its chest. The hollow back reverse is marked “Ges. Gesch.” and features a soldered-on looped prongs. The prongs were glued back on perfectly and no one would ever know. It measures 2 1/2 inches wide by 1 3/8 inches tall.
