2nd and 1st Class Iron Cross Stickpin
Eisernes Kreuz 1. und 2. Klasse Anstecknadel. The stickpin lapel variation would have been privately purchased for everyday wear. It is constructed out of a two-piece die struck alloy base that has been silver washed and contains black enamel work. The obverse features; two pattée style crosses that each have centrally placed embossed mobile swastikas and “1939”s to the lower arms, which are on black bases and each surrounded by a silvered ribbed/beaded row and a flat outlying border. They are soldered together to the left/right arms. The fullback reverse features a soldered-on knurled stickpin. The face measures 11/16 of an inch wide by 3/8 of an inch tall.
