Panzer Officer Breast Eagle

Wehrmacht Heer Brustadler für Offiziere c.1943. It is constructed out of hand embroidered rolled, twisted and crunched aluminum-silver bullion-flatwire and pearl cotton thread over a cardboard base all to a black wool, white and black cotton backing. The obverse features an Army eagle with outstretched wings clutching a mobile swastika in one of its talons. The reverse shows the black cotton backing. It measures 3 3/4 inches wide by 1 3/4 inches tall. A beautiful piece of craftsmanship.
