NS-RKB Flag Plaque 1939

Reichskriegertag Kassel - Fahnennagel “Großdeutscher Reichskriegertag Kassel 1939”. There were veterans’ days at Kassel (The honorary “City of the Reich Veterans' Days”) that were celebrated in 1935, 1936, 1937 (not 1938) and 1939 - Hitler was invited in 1939. It is constructed out of a die stamped aluminum alloy base that has been bronze/gold gilded. The obverse features a NS-RKB eagle above NS-RKB veterans in a parade holding flags gazing towards Reichskriegerführer SS-Gruppenführer Wilhelm Reinhard and Führer und Reichskanzler Adolf Hitler who are on a platform and saluting them, below a podium with a NS-RKB Iron Cross emblem atop and flags coming out of it. This is all partially surrounded by oak leaf and acorns with two NS-RKB Iron Cross shield emblems to the sides and “Großdeutscher Reichskriegertag Kassel 1939” to the bottom. There are also four nail holes two to the left and two to the right, where it would have been pinned to the stick. The reverse features a hollow back. It is only slightly curved it measures 2 5/16 inches wide by 3 ¼ inches tall.
