Extraseitengewehr by Puma of Solingen. The bright plated blade on this one has some light wear. The stamped maker mark is beautifully executed. The plating gives it an excellent mirror like finish. It has a solid fit and sharp tip. The blade rates Exc++. The original brown leather buffer pad is intact. The steel based black enamel painted scabbard retains 99%+ of the original paint. It continues to remain completely dent free! The original throat retaining screw remains intact and unturned. The scabbard fits the hilt perfectly! The zinc-alloy based nickel plated hilt looks good retaining 98%+ plating coverage. The mortise slot is filled with a red felt plug. The button continues to function well. The grip plates have no cracks, chips or splits. They are tightly secured with 2 steel rivets. It has a decent early frog as well as a portepee. The wrap on the top of the ball is loose but I think could be fixed up with some glue, patience and love. A nice example from the Vet's family.
