A Model 1933 Sturmabteilung Dienstdolch by Ernst Pack & Söhne of Solingen. The blade on this one looks excellent. The acid etched “Alles für Deutschland” motto and Jung Siegfried wielding a hammer “E. P. & S. Solingen” maker mark are both dark crisp and beautifully executed. The crossgrain is stunning running the full length and is easily visible as you turn it in the sun. The fit is nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point. The blade rates an easy NM. There is runner marks. The sheet metal based brown anodized scabbard is in good condition. It has light oxidization and a dent to the center obverse. The solid nickel-silver scabbard fittings are in excellent shape. Textbook Pack features. The ball remains perfectly round. All four screws remain intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap. The solid nickel-silver crossguards are in wonderful shape matching the scabbard fitting’s color perfectly. The reverse of the lower crossguard is Gau stamped “Nrh” (Niederrhein). The textbook light grained hardwood grip looks excellent. It is chip and crack-free. It has perfect fits. The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed. The SA roundel has a perfect fit and retains 99%+ of its enamel. An excellent Textbook style Pack.
