A Model 1933 Sturmabteilung Dienstdolch by RZM M7/12 - WMW. The blade on this one has age scratches and scuffs. The acid etched “Alles für Deutschland” motto and “RZM M12” maker mark are both dark and crisp. The tip comes to a perfect point and the fit is nice and tight! The blade rates an Exc. The scabbard is steel based and brown painted. It shows spidering throughout, lots of wee chips but no dents. Scratched into the reverse body is " MAITE", when where, who is lost to time. The scabbard fittings are steel based and nickel-silver plated. They hold 90% plating coverage with loss towards the wood. The ball has a small hit to its very bottom. All four screws remain tightly secured. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect. The crossguards are zinc based and nickel-silver plated. The plating shows typical thinning/age wear. The brown hardwood grip looks excellent. It has the typical pressure marks/ scratches but no cracks, chips or flakes. The aluminum eagle is beautifully detailed with a perfect fit. The SA roundel is retains 99%+ of its enamel and also has a perfect fit! A reasonably priced example.
