M1937 Fliegerdolch by WKC of Solingen. The unmarked polished blade on this one looks wonderful. It has a gorgeous mirror like finish with all the crossgrain remaining. The fit is nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point. The blade on this one rates NM. It shows some age dots I have not tried to clean. The light brown leather buffer pad remains intact. The steel-based dent-free airplane grey plated WKC scabbard looks wonderful. It depicts great details throughout, with the random pebbling, oak leaves and acorns. It remains completely dent free and the single throat retaining screw remains intact. The alloy WKC Luftwaffe eagle crossguard has amazing detail to its head, feathers, wings and top side embossed oak leaves and acorns. The steel ferrule looks excellent. The WKC pommel looks good. All of the components have matching patina and are textbook WKC. The wood based celluloid covered grip looks wonderful. The brass dual twisted wire wrap remains intact. Overall, a very nice late war example from the Vet's family.
