Early SA Dagger by C.R. Jacobs

RARE - Model 1933 Sturmabteilung Dienstdolch by Carl Rudolph Jacobs of Solingen. McSaar rates this one a 8 out of 10 for rarity, Fisher estimates only a measly 1,000 of these were made in the period, which is the lowest number he uses. I suspect the Fisher is closer to truth as this is the 1st I've owned a few!The blade on this one has been polished hard resulting in a shiny finish. The acid etched “Alles für Deutschland” motto and maker mark are somewhat lightened. The fit is nice and tight and the tip comes to a sharp point. The blade rates Exc. The sheet metal based brown anodized scabbard looks good. It has oxidization spotting throughout and has been cleaned. The reverse has a bruise and areas where cleaning is evident. The solid nickel-silver scabbard fittings are in excellent shape. The ball has taken a hit, all four screws remain intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect. The solid nickel-silver crossguards are in wonderful shape, matching the scabbard fittings perfectly. The reverse of the lower crossguard is Gau stamped “No” (Nordsee). The reddish hardwood grip looks good there are typical scratches/bruises and a hit to the edge. It has perfect fits. The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed. The SA roundel has a perfect fit and retains 99%+ of its enamel. T
