SG-98/05nA Butcher Bayonet by R. Stock & Co.
A nice uncleaned example out of a Vet's estate! The blade has been cleaned and suffers for pitting but overall bright. The reverse is stamped with the R. Stock & Co. maker mark. These guys were basically a tool making shop who were recruited to Bayonet manufacturing during WWI. One of the few manufacturers located outside Solingen. The blade rates Exc+. The anodized scabbard has light wear and a few odd hits and bumps. It remains dark. The throat retaining screw is lost to time. The hardwood grip plates have wee hits and bumps but are damage free. They are secured with spanner bolts.
