Miniature Luftwaffe Sword
The bright plated blade on this one looks great! The acid etched, "C.F. Stettes Solingen-o." etch to the blade most likely indicates this was a gift to that manufacturer in the period. The blade itself is a nice plated example retaining 99% of it's finish. There is no maker identified and in my experience it most likely is ALCOSO made. Both the fit and tip are perfect! The buffer pad is lost to time. The blue pebbled scabbard leather has surface cracks but the blade fits fine. There is no upper fitting and I see no evidence there ever was one. The lower fittings are silver plated and evenly patinaed. The hilt is cast. It measures 7 inches tall.
