East German M56 Combat Helmet

An Iconic cold war item. Based on the war time M45 prototype this helmet is in good condition. Complete with 2 of the rubber spacers, ( two are missing). There is some epoxy/glue green stuff where the 2 missing spaces were. Why, where and who is a mystery. Four point chinstrap remains supple. Shell is dated "60" indicating 1960. The liner is not marked but would guess size 56.
