West German Bundeswehr Tunic

Likely 1950's era field-grey wool/rayon blend construction tunic that has been stripped of insignia. I say 50" as in the 60's they switched to a tricot material. The tunic features a vertical, four button front closure. The tunic has four, pleated, front pockets with scalloped button down flaps. The buttons have lost some of their original finish. Looks like someone added the shoulder strap buttons as the sewing is not original. There are witness marks from where there was an arm shield and collar tabs. The shoulders are unsewn where the boards were removed. There are some areas of wear. I do not see holes. There are no award loops but it looks like witness holes from where an award wad pin pierced the front left pocket. The interior of the tunic is fully lined in grey/green rayon with off-white striped sleeves. There is a tear to the lining at the center lower reverse. It is a medium men's size and the chest is approx. 41"
