Chaplin's Cross
Made of silver plated brass with inlaid ebony, (the silver is all worn off). I believe the skull and crossbones refers to "Christ over death". These crosses were absolutely used by Chaplin's, they were also common through out Europe at the time. Period wear to the high areas. Included with the 65mm tall cross is the chain. Really, if you have a Chaplin's uniform or grouping this is a must. Pls note the final view is a similar period picture of a similar cross, NOT this exact cross
