Short Dress Bayonet by WKC
Extraseitengewehr by WKC of Solingen. The single edged, fullered 7 7/8 inch plated blade on this one looks excellent! The stamped Knight “WKC” maker mark is beautifully executed! The plating gives it a nice mirror like finish. The tip comes to a nice point and the fit is nice and tight! The blade rates NM. The buffer pad is lost. The steel based dent-free black enamel painted scabbard retains 90% of its' factory paint. The original throat retaining screw and frog lug remain intact. The ball remains perfectly round. The zinc-alloy based, nickel-silver plated hilt looks great as well. It retains 99%+ of a plating coverage. The black checkered bakelite grip plates are in perfect condition being tightly secured to the hilt with two rivets. The push button continues to work well! Nicely finishing this is a red felt plug in the mortise slot. A nice quality piece!
