K98 Bayonet by Horster 1940
Well here's a nice matching K98 Bayonet! The unsharpened blued blade on this one has lost somne finish towards the tip. The fit is perfect! The blade is stamped "EuF Horster" and"40" to the spine, and "8817" which matches the scabbard! The steel, black anodized scabbard has much wear and some wee hits to the reverse, no dents! The side screw is unturned. The hilt looks good. The brown bakelite grip plates are in beautiful condition! No cracks, splits chips or damage! The screws look to have been turned at some point. This one also comes with a worn Czech frog that is dated 1937. It is stamped with lion rampant with forked tail a traditional emblem of Bohemia, now the Czech Republic. All of the stitching intact.
