M35 DD Police Combat Helmet by NS64
Great helmet retains 80%+ field grey paint, 90% police decal and 93% national shield. On the reverse of the shell's interior, the neck guard apron is lot number stamped, 4180 and has a stamped manufacturer's code and size, NS64. NS is the maker code for the Vereinigte Deutsche Nikelwerke factory in the Germany city of Schwerte. Size 64 is a nice large size that can accommodate liners from 56cm to 58cm. It's dome stamped "Abgennomen, 1938, Beschaffungsant fur Heer und Marine". It has a reinforced aluminum liner band, tan colored supple M31 leather liner with original draw string stamped "58". The leather chinstrap is broken. Looks like this was named at some point but the name's removed. This is a nice helmet.
