Here's an example with a great etch. beauty cutlass. The plated blade is stamped with the early 3rd Reich Eickhorn logo to the reverse. The triple etched surface is in very good shape being a nice crisp and deep and dark. The spine pattern is a leaf motif toped with the "W. Michovius Cottbus" distributor mark. The blade is very nice. There's no evidence of sharpening, just a couple dots of age and a bit of pitting at the very tip. The blade measures 14.5" and rates as Exc++/NM. Original brown felt buffer pad is intact. The hilt has just the lightest evidence of use and retains some gilt. The fluted clamshell is nicely cast. The D-guard terminates with a hand enhanced deer hoof. Nice bone grip plates have 3 acorns, one to the reverse is missing. The obverse plate has a bit of damage to the top. All the scabbard fittings are in good shape showing wear. The lower has a few impressions to the reverse you can feel with your fingers. Great leather all the stitches are intact. There are a few scuff but not too bad.
