1st Model (1934/35) Airforce Dagger (Luftwaffe Fliegerdolch) by Alcoso of Solingen. The plated blade on this one looks great! The crisp maker mark is perfectly executed! It has a wonderful plated mirror like finish! It has a tight fit and the tip is perfect! The blade rates NM. It shows the common runner marks. The original blue leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The steel based blue pebbled leather scabbard body has wear and leather loss. It was in rough shape so I applied some Moroccan blue leather conditioner. The right thing to do. It continues to hold nice color and 90%+ coverage! The solid nickel scabbard fittings look great with nice patina. All five screws remain intact! The early nickel-silver chain has 14 lower and 9 upper ringlets that ends at DRGM clip. One of the connectors has been replaced. The nickel-silver hilt fittings look excellent. The separately inserted brass based sun wheel swastikas look beautiful! Peek at the throat and you will see a stamped number. The grip leather remains in excellent condition as well! The triple brass wire wrap continues to remain tightly intact! An early piece with matching patina.
