Model 1933 Sturmabteilung Dienstdolch by Malsch & Ambronn of Steinbach. The blade on this one has some age and evidence it's been cleaned. The fit is nice and tight and It's never been apart. The dark acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and "Malsch & Ambronn Steinbach" maker mark are both nicely executed! The blade rates Exc. It has some stain from where the runners rested on the blade, spotting and age throughout. The brown anodized scabbard has some dents to the reverse, honest period wear and thinning of the finish. The solid nickel scabbard fittings match the guards in color and wear. The ball is banged in. All four screws remaining intact! The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The solid nickel crossguards are in near perfect condition. The reverse of the lower crossguard is Gau stamped "Mi". The grip / crossguard fits are near perfect! The red/brown multi-toned hardwood grip has a good finish with honest period wear and a good hairline to the reverse. The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel also has a perfect fit and retains 99% of its enamel. a good example.
