RAD “Streifendienst” Patrol Service Gorget
Model 1936 - Reichsarbeitsdienst Streifendienst Ringkragen. It is constructed out of a multipiece polished and silvered aluminum base. The half-moon shaped obverse features: an upright spade shovel head on a circular pebbled background, which is encircled by a pebbled ring, five wheat leaves on a line type pattern and is encircled by a smooth border, which is on top of a mobile swastika, and is below a flowing “Streifendienst” banner. The edges are embossed and there are two rivets that hold the aluminum multi-link interconnected single and double oval chain. The reverse has lost its' olive drab wool. It has 23 large links and 24 pairs of smaller links to the chain and It measures 7 inches wide by 5 inches tall.
