A desirable transitional maker mark! Here we have a Transitional Model 1933 SA Dagger Sturmabteilung Dienstdolch) by Tiger of Solingen - RZM M7/68. The blade on this one is has age and stain. The motto "Alles für Deutschland" motto and double "Tiger Solingen"/"RZM M7/68" maker mark are lightened from the mechanical cleaning, maybe a wire brush? The tip comes to a perfect point. It has spotting and the common surface scratches / runner marks throughout. The steel based, brown enamel painted scabbard body looks great! It shows age spidering, oxidation and paint loss yet it continues to remain completely dent free. The steel based, nickel-silver plated scabbard fittings are in good condition, retaining 97%+ plating coverage. The ball has a small bruise. The scabbard / crossguard fit is near perfect and closes smoothly. The crossguards are zinc based and nickel-silver plated. There is wear and plating loss as shown. The top guard is a bit loose so I tried to tighten the nut but unfortunately it is frozen. The brown hardwood grip has wear but remains chip and crack-free. The aluminum eagle is beautifully detailed with a nice fit. The SA roundel is retains 99%+ of its enamel and has a perfect fit! Always nice to see the rarer transitional examples!
