2nd Model Luft. Dagger by Alcoso w Bone Grip
A M1937 Fliegerdolch by Alcoso - Alexander Coppel of Solingen. The blade on this one looks beautiful. The acid etched “ACS Alcoso Solingen” maker mark is beautifully executed. The fit is nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point. The blade on this one rates Exc++/NM. It shows some minor age, along with the typical runner marks. The leather buffer pad remains intact. The steel based airplane grey plated scabbard looks good and shows some wear throughout. It depicts great details throughout the random pebbling, oak leaves and acorns. It remains completely dent free and the two throat retaining screws remain intact. The aluminum Luftwaffe eagle crossguard has amazing detail to its head, feathers, wings and top side embossed oak leaves and acorns. The steel ferrule and pommel look excellent as well. The bone grip looks excellent having wee hairlines and common striations. It has the Alcoso textbook dual brass twisted wire wrap. Overall a nice example.
