A Model 1935 - Wehrmacht Heer Dolch für Offiziere by Emil Voos of Solingen. The plated blade on this one looks great. The stamped serpent and stump “Emil Voos Solingen” maker mark is crisp and beautifully executed. The plating provides a nice mirror like finish. The fit is nice and tight and the tip comes to a sharp point. The blade rates NM. The leather buffer pad is lost to time. The steel based, nickel silver plated scabbard provides wonderful detail with the random pebbling and hand enhanced oak leaf and acorn bands! It remains completely dent free. The original throat retaining screws remain intact. The nickel-silver plated eagle crossguard provides beautiful hand enhanced details throughout the eagle’s head, wings, wreath, beak and chest. The pommel and ferrule are also beautifully detailed with proud oak leaves and acorns throughout. The orange chip and crack-free trylon grip is in great condition. This one comes with a nice portepee. A good piece by a rarer army dagger manufacturer. Whoops, one final thing I wanted to get you guys a good shot of the maker mark and upon removing the pommel find that the tang was rewelded and repaired at some point. I don't even normally take these apart but found this some I wanted to share it. It in no way impedes assembly.
