Tabbed Army Belt Buckle by Maurer 1936

A worn Wehrmacht Koppelschloß. Here we have an aluminum based, die struck, single piece, green painted army buckle, with the obverse paint worn as is the case with most of these. The obverse depicts an embossed closed winged Heer eagle griping a swastika in its talons. The eagle is above a half oak leaf and acorn wreath and underneath: "GOTT MIT UNS" (God with us). The wreath and motto are in front of a decorative line type pattern which is all encircled by two twisted ropes and all lies on a pebbled field. The aluminum prongs and catch remain in excellent condition! This is maker marked under the prongs, sorry very hard to photograph. The tab is impressed Julius Maurer 1936. Rare
