Model 1934 - Reichsarbeitsdiens Haumesser für Mannschaften und Unterführer by Carl Eickhorn of Solingen. The matte blade on this one looks good. The acid etched “Arbeit adelt” motto and “RADJ Ges. Gesch. Original Eickhorn Solingen” maker mark are beautifully executed. The fit is perfect. It rates Exc++. It has a wiggle to the fit, shows scratches and age grey throughout along with runner rest marks. The steel based black enamel painted scabbard is looks great. It has some spidering retains 95%+ paint coverage. There is spidering throughout. There is a bump to the spine, just below the hanger loop. The sheet metal based, nickel-silver plated and black burnished fittings provide wonderful detail, throughout the RAD logos and decorative interweaving top patterns. They show plating lifting throughout. All four screws remain intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect. The zinc-based nickel-silver plated hilt looks great. It has minor plating bubbles throughout. The stag horn grip plates have wonderfully aged, providing nice contrasting beige/brown colors. There are no cracks of chips and they remain tightly secured by two screws and spanner nuts. A fine example!
