Wehrmacht-Heeres Schirmmütze für Offiziere der Panzertruppe. It is constructed out of quality field grey doe skin wool, with a dark green center band and black piping. Attached to the obverse is a die stamped, aluminum based, silver washed second pattern army cap eagle and multi piece tri-color cockade (red wool, silvered zinc and blackened pressed paper) and embroidered silvered oak leaf and acorn wreath stitched to a green wool backing. To the sides are two peened on multi piece silvered pebbled aluminum side buttons that hold the silver aluminum chin cord in place. The front also features a black lacquered visor peak with a cross hatched cream underside. The interior features a tan brown sweatband with a dome head push pin to the reverse. The base of the lining stitching holes were a clear diamond moisture shield would have been stitched to the brown cotton cloth interior. Minor toned moth nips and some black scuffs to the chin cord.
